I’m Laura, the artist and illustrator behind every drawing, painting, and design you see here. Inspired by nature, childhood memories, and a love for storytelling, my work captures simple moments of joy. My goal with each piece is to bring you warmth, happiness, and a little bit of magic! I hope that my work makes you feel like you’ve stepped inside your favorite children’s book.
I am a self-taught artist with a career background in Graphic Design. I left the corporate world to pursue art and illustration full-time in 2021 and never looked back. I’ve loved art for as long as I can remember and it is my greatest joy to share that love with you through Letters From Bear.

I use watercolor paint and ink! Most of my black and white work is created using a technique called “stippling.” This means the drawings are made up of tiny dots using fine point pens. I also bring this technique into some of my watercolor and ink paintings.

Not currently! I’m very attached to my originals and have a hard time letting them go. Maybe someday!

Yes! One of my goals when I started my small business was to make my art accessible. This is why I offer open edition prints of my illustrations. This allows me to keep my prices lower.
